Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Protection Technologies LLC collects through protectllc.us, how we use it, and the choices you have. We collect only what we need to answer your request and run the site.

Effective October 6, 2026

Protection Technologies LLC (“Protection Technologies,” “we,” “us”) is a security and low-voltage systems integrator headquartered in Pine Brook, New Jersey. We operate this website at www.protectllc.us. We are the controller of the personal information described in this policy.

We collect information in three ways:

  • Information you give us. When you submit a consultation request or support ticket, we receive what you enter: your name, email address, phone number, company, project type, the systems you are interested in, your account or site identifier, and the message or issue you describe. If you email a résumé to careers@protectllc.us, we receive the contents of that email and any attachments.
  • Technical information. Like most websites, our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, referring page, and timestamps) to deliver pages and protect the site against abuse.
  • Analytics. If analytics are enabled on the site, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are read and how visitors arrive. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes IP addresses in truncated form. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser; the site works without them.

We use the information above to:

  • Respond to consultation requests, support tickets, and employment inquiries.
  • Schedule site visits, prepare proposals, and service installed systems for existing clients.
  • Keep the site secure, diagnose problems, and understand how it is used so we can improve it.
  • Meet legal, licensing, and insurance obligations that apply to a security contractor.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We share information only with service providers who process it on our behalf and under our instructions: our website host and form processor (Netlify), our email and productivity providers, and, if enabled, Google (analytics). We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of our people and clients, or as part of a business transaction such as a merger or acquisition.

Form submissions are kept for as long as needed to handle the request and for a reasonable period afterward for records, proposals, and follow-up — typically no longer than three years unless you become a client, in which case project records are retained for the life of the installed system and any applicable warranty, licensing, or tax period. Server logs are retained by our host for a limited period. Analytics data, if collected, is retained according to the retention setting in Google Analytics (currently 14 months).

The site is served exclusively over HTTPS. Form submissions are transmitted encrypted and stored by our hosting provider with access limited to authorized staff. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we apply the same discipline to our own data that we apply to our clients’ buildings.

You may ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you, by emailing info@protectllc.us. We will verify your identity and respond within the time required by applicable law. Depending on where you live (for example, New Jersey or California), you may have additional rights, including the right to know what categories of information we have collected and to not be discriminated against for exercising your rights. We do not sell or “share” personal information as those terms are defined in state privacy laws.

The site itself does not set tracking cookies. Our hosting provider may set a short-lived cookie for load balancing and form spam protection. Google Analytics, if enabled, sets analytics cookies as described above. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

This site is intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

We will post any changes on this page and update the effective date above. Material changes will be highlighted on this page for at least 30 days.
